We are very pleased to announce that after a lot of hard work during Fairtrade Fortnight, we have achieved the FairActive Fairtrade schools award.
To earn the award the Fairtrade group completed lots of activities including:
- Producing an action plan to show what Fairtrade activities we planned to do this term (including creating a Fairtrade notice board and visiting local shops to investigate Fairtrade produce).
- Presenting an assembly for the whole school about Fairtrade.
- Organising a Fairtrade breakfast for parents and carers as part of our World Café (with help from year 6).
- Planning and running a Fairtrade bake sale for pupils and staff at playtimes.
Thank you to all of the classes who took part in further activities related to Fairtrade during Fairtrade Fortnight and we would also like to thank everyone who contributed to our bake sale.
Next term, we will be working towards the final Fairtrade schools award which is the FairAchiever award.
