I became a governor of Dean Bank Primary School in November 2024 after been made aware of the position. I am also a governor at 2 other schools in Newton Aycliffe, and a Chair of Governor at one of those, that is currently going through an amalgamation process with another school.

I’m a Company Director for a local Property Maintenance firm, and have been so, since 2011, prior to that I have previous working experience within Health & Safety in an Engineering Firm in Aberdeenshire in Scotland, Retail Management, including Retail Loss Prevention Management, within 3 large high street stores.

Being a school Governor can be challenging, but also very rewarding, and I feel, if I can make a small difference in some way, to the young children of today, and our local area then it makes everything we do worthwhile.
