Pupils from Class 3 and Class 6, along with some visiting classes from other local schools, enjoyed a science presentation led by Dr Pete Edwards, of Durham University, with Jay Gunn, of Jay’s CBBC Animal Encounters. They demonstrated how the natural world makes use of a broad spectrum of light by using glow in the dark scorpions, red and white dandelions, meerkats in sunglasses, snakes and various other examples of natural life. The children learnt lots of interesting facts whilst also being entertained (or put off) by Jay’s animals.
